Glynnis Osher has a twenty year wealth of experience in graphic design, art direction communications and marketing.
Glynnis is a graduate of the School of Art and Design in Johannesburg, South Africa. Early in her career, she gained experiences in both graphics and advertising at Saatchi and Saatchi, Kenyon Wiles and MS Design Studios in Johannesburg. In 1986, Glynnis moved to New York City where she furthered her experience within various advertising markets, culminating in 2005 with a position as a Group Art Supervisor at Grey Advertising NY. Presently, Glynnis lives with her husband David in Vancouver, Canada, where she continues to grow as an artist and gather influences from the city's various cultures, bringing an even richer vibrancy to her work.
As an accomplished illustrator, Glynnis has created her own unique style and technique. This distinctiveness is apparent in her skillful use of color and design which reflects the innate influence of her native South Africa. Her work celebrates the beauty of colour and the art of being bold. Glynnis has exhibited her work in Johannesburg, New York, Seattle and has also been the recipient of numerous graphic design and advertising awards. She has taught advertising and graphic design at The Fashion Institute of New York and Seattle Central Community College.
Clients include L’oreal, Pfizer, Toyota, South African Broadcasting Corporation, Simon and Schuster NY, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tula Baba Clothing, St. Mary’s Press, Hobie Sportswear among others.
